Underground Religion

For Christians, Sebastia is an important place. The Christian prophet John the Baptist is buried here. He was imprisoned and beheaded in Sebastia, and his tomb is buried here in underground. As time passed, the religious culture of the Sebastia was altered and the Christians who lived in the Sebastia moved away, leaving only the last Christian family in the area. And the site of the tomb has been renovated and rebuilt, from a cathedral to the present mosque. However, John's grave has always been under the ground here. Above the tomb is an imposing mosque, while beneath it are buried significant Christian figures. It is a clash of religious and a tolerance of them.
